The foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Yemen have postponed a meeting initially scheduled for Tuesday.

The ministers will now meet in two weeks in Sana’a, said an official from the Yemeni foreign ministry.

According to the official, the foreign ministers would be unable to convene in the Yemeni capital this Tuesday due to numerous commitments.

“The meeting is keen on strengthening relations between GCC and Yemen, as well as enhancing development in Yemen,” the official said.

The GCC has repeatedly voiced its support to Yemen as it struggles to maintain its territorial integrity and institutions.
