Ethiopian helper commits suicide one hour after arriving in Kuwait

Police in Kuwait are seeking to solve the mystery of an Ethiopian domestic helper who committed suicide one hour after arriving in the country.

According to Al Dar daily, the maid, who was not named, was found dead shortly after she entered her new room to arrange her belongings. The house owner’s wife said that she discovered her lying on the room floor with a rope around her neck.

The police in Al Jahra, northwest of Kuwait City, have launched an investigation.
