Qatar Airways to fly 35 times weekly to Germany
Qatar Airways will increase its weekly flights to Germany from 21 to 35 following an agreement between the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and the German Civil Aviation Authority (Luftfahrt Bundesamt).
“The agreement was reached following some amendments to the previous air transport agreement signed by both parties in November 1996,” an official said, quoted by Qatari daily Gulf Times.
The agreement was signed by QCAA chairman Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi and Luftfahrt Bundesamt deputy director general Hartmut Spickemann.
“The update of this bilateral framework is in line with the policy of Qatar to adopt open skies policy with various countries to connect the Doha International Airport as an operational network with the international airports, and to update current air transport agreements as well as conclude new agreements with brotherly and friendly countries,” the official said. “This will also facilitate the movement of passengers and cargo and to boost bilateral trade between Qatar and Germany.”
