A Bahraini man who last week killed his Moroccan wife will be remanded in prison for another 45 days pending investigations, a court said on Thursday.

The Bahraini national admitted he had repeatedly stabbed 31-year-old Eman after he locked up their three daughters, aged six, two and 11 months, in a separate room and turned up the television volume.

The couple has been having loud arguments, neighbours reportedly said.

The killer’s family said that they would look after the girls and would not turn them over to their mother’s family.
