Bahraini, Egyptian authorities looking for Bahraini girl missing in Cairo
Bahraini and Egyptian authorities are looking for a 16-year-old Bahraini girl who has disappeared in Cairo under mysterious circumstances.
The girl’s father, who has issued passionate appeals to the Bahraini interior and foreign ministers for help, said that he and his family had travelled to Cairo to spend their holidays with relatives.
On Tuesday evening and at around 11 pm, the girl left the house to visit friends who lived a few metres away in the same street, the father told Bahraini daily Akhbar Al Khaleej.
However, after around 90 minutes, the family started to worry and contacted the neighbours who said that they had not seen the girl that evening, according to the father.
Bahrain’s consulate, alerted the next day about the disappearance, has contacted several competent authorities in Egypt.
The father called for help and said that official contacts by Bahrain’s interior and foreign ministers would help locate the girl.
Last month, a Kuwaiti girl was found by the US police after she disappeared for some days from the Florida vacation home where she was staying with her family.
