Bahrain is mulling the establishment of a war college specialised in advanced military science.

King Hamad Bin Eisa Al Khalifa on Thursday evening ordered the study for setting up the institution that will be affiliated with the Bahrain Defence Force, prepare the BDF and National Guard officers and boost mobilisation standards.

“We are keen on Bahrain being the country of law and institutions and on addressing all anomalies to ensure full compliance with the law,” King Hamad said. “We will take into consideration the recommendations of all legitimate competent institutions so that decisions are not individualistic. Bahrain is for all its people to enjoy security and safety under the banner of national unity. Our duty is to protect the nation from anyone plotting to harm it and that is why we have been keen on regularizing the situation through legal and constitutional channels,” he said.

Bahrain’s development projects are centred on national solidarity and unity. We get stronger and are able to move forward thanks to loyal Bahrainis and we must shield our progress. Protecting the country is a religious and civic duty.
