Syrian man dies at the age of 125, leaving 187 sons, grand-sons, great-grand-sons and great great grand-sons

A Syrian man has died at the age of 125, leaving 187 sons, grand-sons, great-grand-sons and great great grand-sons, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported on Monday.

According to the personal identity card, Othman Ibrahim Ahmad was born in 1885 and had a good memory up to his death, Mohammad, one of his sons said in Saadiya, a village in the Haskiya Province in north east Syria.

“My father could see and hear very well and has never smoked in his life. He had 10 sons and daughters, 66 grand-children, 98 great grand-children and 13 great great grand-children,” Mohammad, born in 1936, said, quoted by SANA.

Mohammad Al Ouda, the town headman, said that several members of the family lived beyond one hundred.

“Othman’s uncle died at the age of 130 and his father passed away when he was 100 years old,” he said.
