The minister teaching the lesson

Bahrain’s education minister substituted for a teacher by starting the lesson when the teacher was late to school.

Making an unannounced visit to a boys’ intermediate school on Tuesday, Majid Al Nuaimi found students sitting in a classroom waiting for their teacher who was reportedly late.

The minister started the first period lesson until the teacher arrived. The minister later asked the administration to investigate the case and to ensure that students could start their classes on time.

Last year, the minister, known for starting his daily work early, took students who were late to class in his car and drove them to school to ensure they were not late.
