March 13, 2011

Kuwaiti police are looking into the case of a woman who has been blackmailing high profile figures and members of parliament by using pictures and videos she took of them during intimate encounters.

According to Al Shahed newspaper, the Kuwaiti woman lured the prominent figures to her flat in the Salmiya area in Kuwait City and took their pictures and filmed them in intimate positions. She later used the pictures and videos to blackmail them into giving her money and buying her valuable gifts.

The police reportedly arrested the woman and, upon searching her flat, found videos of the complainants, all public figures, lawmakers and their relatives.

The daily said that the victims did not wish to file official complaints and urged the police not to mention their names to avoid media scandals.
