Saudi actress arrested for driving in Jeddah
A well-known Saudi actress has been arrested for driving a car in the Red Sea resort of Jeddah, a Saudi news portal reported.
The actress has been referred to a police station for flouting the country rules, Sabq said.
According to the news portal, the actress has played leading roles in several dramas, including “Tash Ma Tash” (No big deal), a popular Saudi Arabian satirical comedy that has been running exclusively in Ramadan since 1992.
The Saudi authorities last week released Manal Al Shareef after spending time in a detention centre for driving in Al Khobar in the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia.
