Qatar is home to 42 centenarians

Qatar is home to 42 centenarians, including 33 Qataris and nine foreigners, official statistics indicate.

Twenty of the Qatari centenarians are men and 13 are women, according to the figures published by Al Arab daily.

Among the men, 17 are still married and three have lost their wives whereas among the women, four are still married and nine are widows.

Only 10 of the Qatari centenarians are illiterate, the daily said. The nationalities of the foreign centenarians living in Qatar were not mentioned.
