Badr Malallah likely to be Kuwait’s new information minister

Kuwait’s new information minister could be Dr Badr Malallah, a local news portal reported on Tuesday.

Al Aan said that Malallah is the most likely figure to replace Sami Al Nasf who resigned this week reportedly for health reasons.

The portal cited sources it did not name.

Al Nasf was given the highly controversial information portfolio in May when a new government was named by Prime Minister Shaikh Nasser Al Mohammad six weeks following the resignation of the former cabinet in March to avoid grilling by the parliament.
