Harlem Globetrotters to highlight education in Qatar

The Harlem Globetrotters will be in Qatar next week for the first time since 1993 and will play a match against the Washington Generals on November 15 at the Aspire Women’s Sports Hall, organisers said. The world-famous team will visit several schools in Doha and the Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs.

Interior ministry denies kidnap charges

Bahrain’s interior ministry yesterday denied allegations that police had kidnapped a woman, who was allegedly among those who staged a demonstration in a shopping mall, while she was undergoing treatment in a hospital.
