Iran releases two Kuwaitis suspected of spying

Two Kuwaiti nationals who had been detained by Iran for five weeks for suspected espionage activities have been released and are now back in Kuwait. Adel Yahya and Raed Al Majed were flown home early on Sunday abroad a private plane and were welcomed in Kuwait City by dozens of relatives and friends.

Bahrain launches investigation into attack

Syria has until Wednesday to avoid UN action

Syria must sign the Arab League protocol on allowing observers into the country if it wants to avoid action from the Security Council, Qatar’s prime minister has warned. Under the protocol, Damascus should halt its crackdown, hold talks with the opposition and allow Arab observers into the country to ensure compliance with the agreement.
