Employees’ reinstatement moving ahead in Bahrain

Bahrain on Friday said that the reinstatement of sacked workers and suspended students is moving ahead steadily. “A large number of the Bahraini employees and students dismissed for speech related activity during the unrest of February and March 2011 have been reinstated,” a spokesperson for the Information Affairs Authority (IAA) said.

150 residents rescued as fire hits tall building in Kuwait

Six firemen were injured as they put out a fire at a nine-story building in the Farwaniya area in Kuwait City. Khaled Al Mikrad, the Head of Marine Rescue, told the media that the fire broke out at the basement of a residential building in Farwaniya.
