January 17, 2012

Kuwaiti police have launched a manhunt after a father reported that his daughter had been exploited by an Arab expatriate.

The man, 25, and the Kuwaiti girl, 16, became friends through the internet and their electronic friendship lasted for almost two months before she agreed to see him.

According to the girl’s testimony, he took her to a dark place where they had sex after promising to marry her.

However, following the encounter, she was unable to contact him and he did not answer her repeated calls.

He later disconnected his phone.

Alarmed over the unexpected development of the situation, the girl related what happened to her mother who alerted the father.

The family filed a suit against the man for abusing a minor.

Media reports said that the police obtained the suspect’s personal details and contact numbers, and are now looking for him.
