Media in Kuwait sounded the alarm over suicide attempts among young people after two boys wanted to end their lives in separate incidents. In Jahra, 32km northwest of Kuwait City, a young boy committed suicide by hanging himself after his mother refused to take him out with her and left him alone at home.
