Iraq’s oldest person has died at the age of 125, local media reported. Khliwi Kholkhal was thought to be born in 1887 and has lived through all the political changes that shaped the region in modern times, including the birth of Iraq.

Kuwait parliament suspends lawmaker for ‘indecent behaviour’

15 fire-starters arrested as Kuwait seeks solutions to used tyres

Kuwait security has arrested 15 foreigners for allegedly setting tyres ablaze and starting two fires. The 14 Bangladeshis and one Nepalese were held after witnesses reported seeing a fire in a scrap area. The fire was put out, but the firefighters were informed that a second fire broke out near the first site.
