May 20, 2012

Qatar on Saturday urged its citizens to avoid travelling to Lebanon, citing unstable conditions.

“The foreign ministry calls upon all Qatari nationals not to travel to Lebanon in light of the unstable security conditions,” a foreign ministry spokesperson said.

“The ministry also requests all Qataris currently in Lebanon to leave the country. Those whose presence is absolutely necessary should contact the Qatari embassy in Beirut to inform them about their addresses and ways to communicate with them,” Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
