May 29, 2013

A Kuwaiti student was killed in a tragic accident in front of her school moments after she left it holding her certificate of success.

The eighth grader sustained serious injuries to her head and other parts of her body when she was hit by a bus, local Arabic daily Al Qabas reported on Tuesday.

The driver, an expatriate from an Asian country, has been remanded in police custody pending the investigation launched by the competent authorities.

The report did not name the student, believed to be 14 years old.

Most schools in Kuwait have held their end of the year exams.
