A Bahraini court on Monday sentenced 32 people to 15 years in prison each on charges of damaging farms and private property belonging to members of the royal family. The National Safety Court said that the defendants were also guilty of possessing and carrying Molotov cocktails.

Children undergo weight loss surgeries in Qatar hospital

Qatar’s struggle with obesity is becoming so dire that Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has started performing bariatric/weight loss surgery on children, a local daily reported. HMC said that it would have a centre of excellence in bariatric surgery within six months in order to meet the increasing need for weight loss procedures.
